Recorder SGD-EEM MEDUSA is designed to measure values of the MN electric potential and AB current for slowly varying signals, as well as to measure the amplitude and phase characteristics of the harmonic components of the periodic signal.

Geoelectrical system that consists of the recorder SGD-EEM MEDUSA and transmitter SGD-EGC SKAT IV and switchbox CommDD2 allows one to realize DC and IP imaging (ERT) surveys in automatic mode.

Recorders MEDUSA and MEDUSA-II are intended for geophysical studies with the variety of techniques such as:
  • Direct current methods - DC
  • Electrical resistivity tomography  - ERT
  • Induced polarization  - IP (both in time and frequency domains)
  • Frequency sounding - FS
  • Self potentials - SP
Recorder’s operation modes:
  • Test mode – control of input channels
  • Grounding resistance measurement
  • Current measurement in AB line
  • Zero offset compensation of the input signal
  • Measurements and storage of the survey data into the built – in memory 

The recorder is equipped with a precise built-in clock generator that provides the synchronization with a Transmitter.

The two-channel recorder MEDUSA – B2 (advanced version of MEDUSA) has two MN channels; built-in test generator, built-in battery; connectors RS422+1PPS for external GPS / GLONASS receivers; RS485 and RS232 switchbox connection sockets.
